Her way of travelling is by road. The very first time she stept into a plane was in Calcutta, India. With a car she feels free to go where ever she wants. It's a perfect way to compare natural and cultural landscapes in different countries. That was the reason she reacted on a radio announcement of the possibility driving through Africa in a Citroen 2CV.
